Poet in New York by García Lorca

Poet in New York is one of the most important books written by Lorca. It was produced while Federico García Lorca was a student at Columbia University in 1929-30. During his stay the stockmarket crashed in October 1929, an event which profoundly affected his poetic vision.

Constitution Day (6th December)

On December 6, 1978, the Spanish people voted a new Constitution after forty years without democracy. Every 6th  December we commemorate this Constitution.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival that is celebrated in the U.S. and Canada (among other countries). Historically, Thanksgiving was intended to give thanks to God, but more recently has become a more secular holiday. In the U.S., Thanksgiving is observed on the fourth Thursday in November (Canada celebrates it on the second Monday in October).
